shopping district in Paramus, New Jersey, our newest showroom has
quickly become our flagship as a site that beckons designers and
homeowners from miles away.
All design/build showrooms will be judged by the standard we’ve
set. Covering more than 6000 square feet, we carry materials for
every type of home improvement project. You will be impressed with
the many different styles, sizes, shapes and the functionality of
all our kitchen and bathroom cabinets, accessories, appliances,
tiles, fixtures and more. And, with a fully functioning kitchen,
you can expect to see us on TV shows and hosting community events.

Finishing
Stage 2
With all of the final touches in place, the new MyHome NJ space
offers all of the comforts of home in one stunning location. All
NJ kitchen, bathroom, and living room displays are finally set and
our accessories are now in place. Colors shine and details pop in
this Bergen County showroom that stands as a testament to all that
is possible for New Jersey residents looking to enhance their living
experience with the MyHome seal of approval. Now fully stocked and
ready for service, we are happy that our NJ customers have a home
away from home in the New Jersey design world.
Finishing
Stage 1
After painting and installing the pre-finished wood floor, we completed
the installation of all the light fixtures. The space is ready to
go, but now we need to install all the kitchen and bathroom displays,
which included tiling, cabinetry work, and specialty finishes. Once
that’s done, it’s time to stack the showroom with thousands
of samples so that when our clients come to visit, they can enjoy
the endless choices available at MyHome.
Sheetrock
and Taping
This requires some expertise, because the walls (especially in our
showroom) must be 100% level and smooth. We install the sheetrock
boards first and later plaster all the screw holes and the tape,
which is used to cover all the seams between the sheetrock boards.
Exterior
Yes we also do exterior work. In this case we repaired the existing
exterior structure, applied a new stucco texture, painted it in
two colors, wired for new exterior lighting, installed the light
fixtures and installed new MyHome signs on the front and sides of
the building.
Insulation
This stage is very important and must be done exactly according
to code, because in case of a fire proper insulation will save lives
– and hopefully save the building!
Framing
Stage 2
That’s the great thing about Design/Build – We can build
as we design. Normally you need to finalize the design so that contractors
can bid on the construction from a set of finished plans. We were
far from completing all the specifications, but since we completed
the general layout we were able to build the walls. If you hire
us for a Design/Build project, that’s how we would work in
order to save time.

That’s our favorite part, because progress is fast.
Before
we Started
This used to be a furniture store. The building was built in the 1960s,
but structurally it’s in great shape. The best thing about this space
is that there are no columns or beams: it’s one big open space without
any obstructions. That lets us design the inside exactly the way we want.
The ceiling is a typical foam tile drop ceiling, which will be removed
soon.
